The Newsletter of the Nambudripad Allergy Research Foundation for January/February 2006 presented a
report on a new Autism study. Dr. Devi Nambudripad is the developer of the Nambudripad Allergy
Elimination Technique (NAET).
The NAET clinic in Buena Park CA has completed an exploratory pilot study on autism that started in
October 2004 and ended in October 2005. It demonstrated a very promising future for the autistic
population. The study included 60 non-verbal, non-communicative children divided into a treatment group
and a control group of equal numbers. Children in the treatment group received 50 NAET treatments to
remove allergies in 12 months. The control children did not receive NAET treatments but continued the
conventional treatments they had been using. At the end of 12 months all the children in the study were
evaluated. All 30 children in the study group who received NAET treatments had made significant
improvements in verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Twenty-three out of the 30 are attending
regular school. Their autism labels have been removed. There was no change in the control group. The
control group now is being administered NAET treatments.
Another nation-wide multicenter NAET autism study is planned.
The cause of autism is not known. One theory is that there may be some factor of nutritional deficiency
disorder associated with poor digestion, absorption, assimilation and utilization of essential food elements
associated with or caused by allergies. NAET is the only treatment known so far that is able to eliminate
allergies allowing the sufferer to live normally. NAET is a noninvasive no needle painless technique that is
able to eliminate allergies. No adverse reactions to NAET treatments have been reported.
There is one thing in common among most autistic children: They all suffer from lots of allergies with
different intensities. Allergies affect individuals differently by attacking different tissues or organs. For
some reason in autism the brain is affected. A child with autism is living in an allergy cloud. When an
autistic child is treated with NAET the allergy cloud becomes thinner and thinner with each treatment.
Each allergy contributes to the total allergy load. As each allergen is removed with NAET the autistic child
can show evidence of improvement.
NAET testing procedures are very sensitive to detect allergies even in their mildest forms. Once detected,
NAET is able to remove them permanently. When all allergies have been removed allergy sufferer can
resume a normal life. This scenario works with autistic children to remove their allergies so they can live
better lives.
